Are you feeling inspired by the Olympics? You don't have to be an Olympic athlete to start exercising. There are loads of options out there to help you get started on your fitness journey. You could:

Try a home workout!

Being new to exercise can feel daunting, so a great way to get going is to start in the comfort of your own home. There’s a range of free, follow along exercise videos online, some of which don’t require any equipment – just yourself! Check out We Are Undefeatable - YouTube and give it a go. (Speak to your GP first if you have not exercised for some time, or if you have medical conditions or concerns.)

Enjoy Northumberland's Coastal Path

The Northumberland Coast is well known for its beautiful beaches, castles and high rocky cliffs. With a coastal path stretching 63 miles, there’s plenty of places you can enjoy a walk! Just 30 minutes of walking every day can make such a difference.

Explore Northumberland’s National Park

There’s over 600 miles of marked footpaths and bridleways to be explored, and a range of short and long walking routes to help you enjoy the beautiful landscape. Check out National Park walking routes | Visit Northumberland and find a walking route for you!

Be creative!

Try new things and find something you enjoy! Exercising should be fun, and finding something you enjoy will help you stick to it.
