Summer is upon us!

Water bottle

There's lots to do when the sun is out, from coastal walks to family picnics. But, we need to remember to stay safe in the sun! Here's some top tips from us:

Stay hydrated:

Sip on water or sugar free juice throughout the day. If you're going out, add ice to your water bottle to help it stay fresh and cold.

Apply sun cream:

Nothing spoils a fun day in the sun more than nasty sunburn. When outdoors, remember to use sun cream with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30.

Eat more fresh foods:

Fruit and vegetables are easy to digest and often high in water content. Why not make a fruit salad bowl filled with watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and cucumber? Low in calories and refreshing!

Know your limits:

We often get a surge of motivation when the sun's out, but exercising in warmer weather means our bodies have to work harder to regulate its core temperature. So, if you are wanting to make the most of next week's sunshine, be sure to follow the tips above as well as knowing your limits - don't try to hit a new PB!
